Spring 2004 Directors’ Workshop and One Act Festival

Brief Description:

Break out your favorite One Act play and join John Brebner for this special Directing Workshop for Novato Community Players Members.

John will teach us the coarse and fine points on Directing from a lifetime of experience in Theater spanning more than 50 years.

Actually plan for and complete the direction process for your chosen One Act play.

This workshop includes 12 hours of classroom work, audition, rehearsal, and technical experience working up to the final production in a One Act festival. John will mentor all students through each phase to production.

WHEN:
Classroom Study:
* June 1, 3, 8, 10 at 7:30 – 9:30 pm
* June 6, 13 at 6:00 – 8:00 pm
Auditions:
* June 14, 16 at 7:30 – 9:30 pm
* June 20 at 1:00 – 4:00 pm
Performances:
* July 30, 31 at 8:00 pm
* Aug 1 at 3:00 pm
Rehearsals will be held in June and July

John will offer guidance in selecting your one act play, and with any directing problems as needed..

* Call by April 30, 2004 to reserve a place in this workshop.
* We need to publish the audition notice for your play on April 30.
